I just got in two beautiful quilts from Donna Roberson. One is a chain quilt that needs simple block quilting to complete it. The design will be Spider Flower blocks with medium brown thread on top and sage on the back. Donna explains: "The quilt with the circles was the very first one I completed in class with Joanne. I had to quilt it on my home machine. Oh my that was so hard, my machine throat was so small for all that quilt."
Jan 28: Programmed into IQ. I can actually quilt this sideways & thus do less rows!
Jan 30: Done!
Feb 01: Ironing out the creases in the fabric before loading a quilt has multiple advantages as I discovered today. I spotted a small 1/4 in square tear in the backing I would not have seen otherwise. Have Donna's okay to add a small seam across the width of the backing to remove the tear.
Feb 02: Finished!
The other one features fall fabrics. The design will be Acorns & Oak Leaves.
